Workshops

Lighting Identity of Belgrade

The workshop is pursuing the lighting identity of Belgrade through marking the “heroes” and “delinquents” of lighting – good and bad examples of lighting or sketching the night panorama of Belgrade in the future.

After similar workshops organised in Singapore in 2005 and Ljubljana 2006, in cooperation with Architectural Faculty in Belgrade we are organizing the workshop for student of Tokyo Musashino Art University, Stockholm Lighting Laboratory and Belgrade University. Mentors of the workshop are renowned world lighting designers Kaoru Mende (Lighting Planners Associates, Tokyo), Christof Fielstette (Made-by-light, Hamburg) and Jan Ejhed (The Lighting Laboratory, Stockholm).
Assistants to mentor: lighting detectives of Belgrade.

Through intensive three day long lighting action, with the mentor’s guiding of our guests, students will analyse situation in Belgrade and present their experiences as well as their vision of a better looking city on 18th September in O3one gallery at 9pm.

Works will also be exhibited in a hole on 25th floor of the Business Centre Usce, same day as the symposium Transnational Lighting Detectives 08 will be held.
